The director himself, and not only him, reminds fans of this from time to time, so the hype for the premiere does not decrease. Recently, on his social profile, the director posted a completely new photo of Joaquin Phoenix in the lead role.
The shooting of the continuation of the Oscar-winning Joker with Joaquin Phoenix in the title role is officially underway . This Saturday, filmmaker Todd Phillips confirmed the news on his Instagram account . The photo shows Phoenix as Arthur Fleck being shaved, presumably by one of the Arkham Asylum employees. This is where the Joker lands at the end of the first movie.
‘Day 1. Our boy.’ Such a laconic description was included by Phillips under the photograph. It is worth noting that all his recent posts had some connection with Joker 2 , or officially the movie Joker: Folie á Deux. The director announced the continuation via social media for the first time at the beginning of this year. He then shared a photo of the movie script with the aforementioned title along with another photo of Phoenix getting acquainted with him.

In August, a short trailer appeared on the Internet along with the release date. This also confirms that the Joker’s long-awaited partner, Harley Quinn, will appear in the film. Lady Gaga plays her in Folie a Deux .
Lady Gaga will be the second actress in history to portray Harley in a live-action form. The first was Margot Robbie, who portrayed Dr. Quinzel has been on several occasions, starting with Suicide Squad . James Gunn , who took over at DC Studios with Peter Safran, has already confirmed that he intends to bring Robbie to a comeback in the future. Thus, the filmmaker expressed his full support for Gaga, who will interpret the character of Harley Quinn in a duet with Phoenix.
