Recently, the D23 Expo was held during which Disney announced further film adaptations of its classic animations. These include Snow White and the Lion King prequel . So far, we only knew that the remakes would hit theaters in 2024, and now we know the official premieres.
D23 Expo brought us a lot of news in the Disney film adaptation department. Among the well-known titles is The Lion King . Mufasa: the Lion King will be a computer-based prequel to the title character’s youth. The premiere will take place on July 5, 2024. Jenkins will direct the film.
I grew up with these characters, they mean a lot to me. I think the work that Jeff Nathanson has done, going back to helping the children and anyone who has ever loved the story, will all be very challenging. Kings aren’t just born. They have to become who they are through a series of events with which many people can relate. I don’t feel pressured, I just want to do a good job.
Jenkins explained.
Another movie worth watching is the actors’ Snow White . This one will debut on March 22, 2024. Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot will star in the roles, and Marc Webb will be directing.
Never, even in a million years, I never imagined it would be possible for me [to play the role]. You don’t normally see Snowballs of Hispanic origin, even though the fairy tale plays a really big role in Spanish-speaking countries.
Zegler said.
Do you share the enthusiasm of the film crews?
