DC Comics has revealed that there will be a new comic book about the fate of the Riddler that appeared in Batman . The Riddler: Year One is written by actor Paul Dano and the comic book will give us a glimpse into Edward Nashton’s life before the events of the movie. Director Matt Reeves is involved in the project as well, but is likely working hard on a sequel to the critically acclaimed film.
In the final moments of the movie, Riddler befriends the Joker (Barry Keoghan), which leaves the door open for more stories. Dano will re-star in the sequel, and in a new interview, the actor revealed how excited he is to be back.
“I spent the last year writing this comic [Riddler: Year One] because I loved our movie so much, Gotham, Batman, everything. So if they call me, I’ll show up! It would be pretty cool to come back with another good actor like Barry, ” Dano told IGN.

Dano shared the screen with Robert Pattinson who played Batman in the movie, and his costar is well known for his social awkwardness within the press and this seems to have actually helped him while filming Batman . Director Matt Reeves previously starred at KCRW, where he revealed exactly how Pattinson’s physical awkwardness helped him portray the Dark Knight.
“One of the things that fascinated me about working with him is that he plays in an almost methodical way. You can see he’s very emotional, but he also has amazing control over his instrument, the way he moves. His acting is very technical and purposeful. Reeves said to the podcast.
