Although there will probably be some patches that could be glued to me, “gadżeciarz” is unlikely to be one of them. As a result, I do not have many accessories related to the young wizard, even though I am a fan of the series since I was a kid. However, we managed to find something!
Whoever has watched the films knows that the easiest way to distinguish Hogwarts students is by the characteristic scarves in the colors of the coats of arms of individual houses. Most fans, for one reason or another, identify with a specific house and its characters or features, so such a scarf will be a tasty morsel for them. It is no different with me – a few years ago the Pottermore “only real and official” personality test (now renamed Wizarding World) decided that the Ravenclaw would be the right place for me. I also got such a scarf (a licensed film replica) shortly afterwards as a Christmas gift from my then partner and in the winter season I still wear it to this day – after all, belonging to the house of intelligent and creative people is something that appeals to me!
And since the scarf warms me from the outside, why not warm up with something from the inside? For example, hot tea drunk from a patronus cup? Why not! As you can see, my gadgets are rather functional and it is not accidental. I don’t like things that are simply dusty on the shelf and their presence hardly penetrates into my consciousness. Meanwhile, the mug accompanies me every day – especially now, in the era of home office – when I drink various liquids from it during work. The dish reacts to heat, so when filled with tea or coffee, it reveals a scene from the Prisoner of Azkaban , in which Harry conjures up a full-fledged patronus for the first time. And since work sometimes works like a dementor on me, the presence of a silver deer on my desk is greatly appreciated!
What is the book doing here (apart from the background of course)? If you look closely, you will see a round stamp on the front page. It reads: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows , Premiere, January 25/26, 2008, midnight. They were nailed in Empik during the premiere thirteen years ago, when I was a middle school student impatiently waiting for the finale of the series, who managed to persuade my mother to take him with a friend and classmate to Warsaw for the last volume of Harry Potter on a winter night . Those were the days! – Krzysztof Dzieniszewski
