Marvels is the shortest MCU film in history , lasting (only) 1 hour and 45 minutes. Despite this, The Marvels director Nia DaCosta made it clear that the film is packed with action.
The biggest difference from the other MCU films so far is that this one is really cool and fun. The worlds we’re heading into in this film are something completely different than what you’ve seen before in the MCU.
DaCosta said in a recent interview.
The Marvels cast and plot
Marvels hits theaters on November 10, Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) regained her identity from the tyrannical Kree and took revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. However, unintended consequences cause her to bear the brunt of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her into an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers intertwine with those of Jersey City superfan Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) aka Ms. Marvel and Carol’s niece, now SABER astronaut, Captain Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris). This unlikely trio must join forces and learn to work together to save the universe together as “Miraculous”.
Marvels will also see the return of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Saagar Shaikh as Aamir Khan, Zenobia Shroff as Muneeba Khan and Mohan Kapur as Yusuf Khan. The new cast members include Zawe Ashton, Park Seo-joon and Shamier Anderson. Produced by Marvel Studios, The Marvels is directed by Nia DaCosta from a script by Megan McDonnell and Elissa Karasik.
