Legend
Legend is probably the first fantasy movie I have ever had the pleasure of watching. I was a child then and after the screening I spent a long time collecting my jaw off the floor. He immediately charmed me with a fairy-tale atmosphere, interspersed with a dark atmosphere. I will never forget the terrifying and – nomen omen – brilliantly disguised antagonist that haunts me later in nightmares. I sincerely recommend even today, because the film is still brave enough, especially with the aforementioned climate, but also with an interesting story.
It is also one of the first roles of Tom Cruise, who later hardly played in similar productions, except sci-fi. Ridley Scott in the director’s chair and musician Jerry Goldsmith were also doing their job. In truth, it is not an outstanding work, but every lover of this type of cinema should definitely know it. Thanks to the painting in question, I also realized that the fantasy genre will permanently be my favorite, whether it’s a movie, a book or a game. – Dawid Szulc
