Greedfall
Greedfall from the Spiders studio was definitely one of the most interesting premieres of 2019 for me. First of all, because in the era of witcher-like products and the fashion for exploring colossal open worlds, I did not expect such a clear gust of gaming straight from the last decade. A captivating story set in a completely new universe, intimate closed locations and peaceful exploration of the game world with a group of well-written companions quickly struck me nostalgic chords. After all, who wouldn’t want to feel like a teenager for the first time getting to know Dragon Age: Origins , Jade Empire or Knights of the Old Republic for the first time?
Would I say Greedfall is the best game of last year? Certainly not. And, like no other title, did I feel optimistic about the fact that I will see “talking” erpegs in the style of the old BioWare, and that there are smaller studies ready to take over the sticks of aging gamedev juggernauts that have clearly lost their way in recent times? Of course! – Krzysztof Dzieniszewski
