Sweets vs fruits and the worst soup in the world – a review of the comic “Delisie. Yum, Yum, Yum”, vol. 2

After the delicious girls by Maciej Kur and Magdalena Kania conquered my heart with the first album, I was very happy to accept the premiere of the second part – equally colorful and full of adventures.

 

delisiethey return in funny, cute and addictive adventures. The album begins with a story about a contract for the infamous soup, which Ramen must cook, because this task is entrusted to her by Milk, Flour and Sugar. Then, Tiramisu once again decides to stand out from the crowd, and Pho tries to impress her idol Ice Cream Dessert. Ramen’s approach to becoming a video blogger ends in a minor disaster, and Monstera discovers that Spinach has some useful skills for her. The comic about Świderka, despite the fact that it has no dialogues, clearly shows that the girl manages to establish a close relationship with the teas. Several stories are slightly Halloween-themed, although the ones about conflicts between different characters are more memorable. The end of the album is crowned with a beautiful group illustration, which again (as in the first volume) impresses so

The second album about girls representing food delighted me as much as its predecessor. Delisi’s world is charming, funny at times and always colorful. The stories are purely entertaining and don’t strike a darker or more serious tone – which I greatly appreciate, because the comic doesn’t try to be more than it is. While reading, I again appreciated the authors’ idea of ​​a world in which female characters with names derived from the names of products and dishes known to us function. It’s impossible not to like these charismatic girls, but of course everyone is able to choose the ones they cheer for more. However, the appearance of Monstera in the comic always puzzles me – I associate it only with an ornamental plant, so maybe it’s time I read a bit more about it.

Poles to conquer the world

Some of you may be interested in the fact that the authors are conquering not only Poland, but also the Western market with their Delias . One can get the impression that abroad is the main outlet for this series, because the premieres of new albums take place there earlier than in Poland, and there is also a package of various gadgets with cute girls by Kura and Kania. The authors themselves showed stands from various American events on their social media channels, where their comic appeared. Of course, I keep my fingers crossed for the continuation and recommend it to everyone.
