Despite his character being hated by most, Matt Modine hopes Brenner can somehow return in season 5.
I’d like to say I love Millie Bobby Brown, I love the Duffer Brothers and Shawn Levy. It was one of the best programs I could work on. It was fun every day, never a dull moment. I hope there is a way to resuscitate Dr. Brenner and put him in season five because it would be great to be part of the final season.

Despite this, Modine added that he hoped that even stranger things could happen to his character, allowing for a return in the show’s final season. Shawn Levy and the Duffer Brothers returned to direct most of Stranger Things season 4 , with the original cast predominating. Not much is known about the season’s plot at the moment, but if the trailer is any indication, we’re in for a wild ride.
