Stranger Things has gotten used to killing off the show’s most loved characters. Once upon a time, Bob Sean Astin won the hearts of fans, and his own was ripped out by a pack of hungry demogorgons. Then came Alexei, who was shot dead by Russian authorities during the carnival. Let’s not forget Eddie Munson who sacrificed his life for the benefit of others. Then there are characters like Dr. Martin Brenner, whose end most of the audience was hoping for.
Despite his character being hated by most, Matt Modine hopes Brenner can somehow return in season 5.
I’d like to say I love Millie Bobby Brown, I love the Duffer Brothers and Shawn Levy. It was one of the best programs I could work on. It was fun every day, never a dull moment. I hope there is a way to resuscitate Dr. Brenner and put him in season five because it would be great to be part of the final season.

Despite this, Modine added that he hoped that even stranger things could happen to his character, allowing for a return in the show’s final season. Shawn Levy and the Duffer Brothers returned to direct most of Stranger Things season 4 , with the original cast predominating. Not much is known about the season’s plot at the moment, but if the trailer is any indication, we’re in for a wild ride. The series stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Cara Buono, Brett Gelman, Jamie Campbell Bower, Eduardo Franco and Jamie Bower.
