Representatives of Disney and Sony finally came to an agreement on the subject of the hero crawling on the walls.
After several weeks of negotiations, and even a temporary suspension of cooperation, Spider-Man was returned to the MCU. This means that the hero from New York will, however, see a trilogy of films. In addition, the popular Spidey will also be able to appear in other production from the Marvel universe. All characters that have appeared in the adventures of Spider-Man so far will also be able to return in the future.
So, after the last film in the trilogy, will Tom Holland’s time as the cult sperhero end? No, because Sony assured that it intends to continue the adventures of the characters presented in the MCU on their own. Thanks to this, they will ensure independence from the main narrative and potentially connect the spider with their own productions such as Venom or Morbius .
Shortly after the announcement of the new agreement, the film’s release date was also announced. The third Spider-Man movie in the MCU will debut on July 16, 2021. It will therefore be the fourth Marvel film production scheduled for this year. In addition to him, we will also see Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings , Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Thor: Love and Thunder . There will also be four series broadcast on Disney +, i.e. Loki , WandaVision , Hawkeye , as well as the animated What If …? . It is already safe to assume that 2021 will be the year of Marvel.
