If any of you were waiting for the theatrical premiere of the Garfield reboot from Sony Pictures , unfortunately, you will have to wait even longer. The production will not debut on May 24, 2024. We can take a look at who is behind the project.
The film will be directed by Mark Dindal (The King’s New Clothes , Chicken Little ). The script will be handled by David Reynolds, nominated for an Academy Award Finding Nemo , and responsible for other animated films such as Atlantis and Mulan , will be writing the script . Alcon Entertainment has acquired the rights to Garfield from creator Jim Davis, who will be executive producer, while John Cohen, Steven P. Wegner, Andrew Kosove, Broderick Johnson, Namit Malhotra and Tom Jacomb will be producing.
The new Garfield will be Jim Davis’ final cinematic venture.
