On Friday, Sony Pictures announced that their animated Garfield reboot will be released a few months later than planned. From February 16, 2024, it was moved to May 24. So we have to wait for our lasagna lover to hit theaters.

The script will be handled by David Reynolds, nominated for an Academy Award Finding Nemo , and responsible for other animated films such as Atlantis and Mulan , will be writing the script . Alcon Entertainment has acquired the rights to Garfield from creator Jim Davis, who will be executive producer, while John Cohen, Steven P. Wegner, Andrew Kosove, Broderick Johnson, Namit Malhotra and Tom Jacomb will be producing.
The new Garfield will be Jim Davis’ final cinematic venture.
