The thing about reviews in the quarterly magazine is that, depending on which of the three months you purchase it, they may be read a little after the game’s release, but despite the time discrepancy, it is worth reading them, especially since currently with the “CD- Action” we can find a quite extensive evaluation of the latest installment of Diablo , which takes up almost eight pages! Apart from this giant, we can learn something about Darkest Dungeon II , which is a nicer and fresher sequel to the hit, focusing on the deeper meaning of the relationship between the characters; coherent and well-thought-out Dead Island II , unfortunately quite quickly boring with repetition and you can feel how long it took to create; Wartales , which is a turn-based game modeled on Mount & Blade, which lacked a solid plot to be truly happy. In addition, many other games such as The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom , The Lord of the Rings: Gollum , Everspace 2 , Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and a handful of noteworthy independent productions.

But what would “CD-Action” be if it weren’t for extensive journalism? It is worth looking at a not very long, but quite interesting column about the fact that we are still far from creating artificial intelligence, and the famous ChatGPT is only its not very successful simulator. It is also worth learning about the problem of ludonarrative dissonance, how game developers deal with it and sometimes use it, and what consonance is. In my opinion, however, this recording is not without flaws. Yes, everything is technically correct, but the whole thing seems too sterile. Perhaps it’s just a matter of the fact that I don’t listen to audiobooks myself, preferring to engage with written texts, but I miss the delicate, emotional dirt. After all, this is a column about games and movies, not an academic lecture with a scientific tinge.
