Lord of the Rings
One of the first board games I purchased was Lord of the Ringscreated by Reiner Knizia and published in Poland by Bard. From the description, the title was exactly what I was looking for. It refers to the work of Tolkien, which I am a fan of, the game is played in a cooperative mode, and in addition, we will find an adventure straight from an RPG in it. Indeed, the beautiful graphics, both on the cards and on the board, reflect the atmosphere of Middle-earth. We can play the role of one of the hobbits, and on the way meet good heroes, such as Gandalf or Legolas, and the bad ones, headed by Saruman. We are also chased all the time by Sauron, against whom we have to protect the Ring-bearer (in this case it does not necessarily have to be Frodo). The game is really demanding and only cooperation with the rest of the group can give us the final victory. And maybe it is just impossible to play the characters to the end, but I have never regretted my choice anywayThe Lord of the Rings is one of those board games that I and my friends choose the most. – Piotr Markiewicz
