James Cameron and the film crew working on “Avatar 2” Celebrate Filing! On this occasion, they present a new photo from the set.
November 29 was the last day of recording of Avatar 2 . On this occasion, a post with a photo from the set, presenting the great ship Sea Dragon, appeared on the official profile of the creators on twitter (@officialavatar).
Avatar from 2009 was a colossal success, winning, among others, 3 Oscars (for set design, best special effects and best cinematography) and 2 Golden Globes. It was also long ranked number one in the top-grossing films (reaching $ 2,789,700,000 in the global box office ). He is currently in second place as Avengers: Endgame chased him this year .
In the sequel we will see stars known from the first part: Sam Worthington as Jake Sully, Zoe Saldana as Neytiri, Sigourney Weaver as Dr Grace Augustine, Stephen Lang as Colonel Miles Quaritch, Giovanni Ribisi as Parker Selfridge.
As well as some new characters: Kate Winslet as Ronal, Michelle Yeoh as Dr. Karina Mogue, Jemaine Clement as Dr. Ian Garvin, Cliff Curtis as Tonowari, David Thewlis as Peylak, Edie Falco as General Ardmore. The unconfirmed Vin Diesel will probably also appear among the cast of Avatar 2 .
Avatar 2 was initially supposed to premiere in December 2020, but it has been postponed .
The premiere of the film is scheduled for December 17, 2021.
