Our troublemaker! – a review of the comic book “Malinka wants to play”, vol. 1

We have repeatedly described the adventures of the family of Mr. Borsuk and Mrs. Lisica. They delighted us – the recipients, reviewers – so much that we got more comic books thematically referring to the original series. In the first volume entitled Malinka wants to play since the Egmont publishing house, we get to know the youngest of the siblings, Malinka, better!

 

100% SHOULD

Malinka is the sister of Szperaczek and Borek. The girl’s adventures presented in the comic, prepared by Brigitte Luciani and Eve Tharlet, are delightful – the heroine willingly plays with her older siblings, having the most creative ideas and … incredibly much energy. Malinka’s favorite activity is … fun that never stops. The first part of the heroine’s adventures includes searching for new (often dangerous) activities. Siblings have to keep an eye on their sister all the time so that she doesn’t hurt herself. In the end, they come to the conclusion that it’s better to play together, it’s less tiring.

We were prepared for it

Enchanted by the previous volumes ( Rozgardiasz , Ale załoga! and Not a moment of respite! ) we eagerly reached for the latest offer of the Egmont publishing house and we must admit that the creators perfectly portrayed the situations in which the heroes found themselves. The younger sister is extremely cute, especially when she joyfully calls out: “esce” (yet), “fiaty” (instead of flowers) or “wio” (to hurry up the brother who carries her on his back). The ideas are fresh, and their implementation will appeal to both small and large readers. In my opinion, the authors draw from their own experiences, which allows you to believe in the created reality. In addition, the book is an excellent material for the implementation of didactic methods at home.

The book is compact in size. On the cover, we see the heroine chasing butterflies. She has a wreath on her head, which brings to mind the spring months. The publishers undoubtedly did their best and even prepared a charming endpaper! Near the title page there are images of the children of Mr Borsuk and Mrs Lisica – Borek, Szperaczek and Róża. We can guess that their adventures will be devoted to the next volumes of the series. Although…who knows?!

Announcement

In the Mr Badger and Mrs Lisica series, the following volumes have been published: Meeting , Rozgardiasz , Ale załoga! Not a moment’s respite! and Carnival (in preparation). The next volume of Malinka’s adventures will also be released soon: Raspberry is afraid . The reviewed comic is part of the series My First Comic 5+ , for the youngest readers, to read on their own or read with their parents. However, it seems to me that the book will also appeal to younger readers, who may not have the skills to read it on their own, but they will surely be delighted with the adventures of a small, charming heroine.
