His great dream was to create special effects at the level of the American “King Kong”. To this end, he began his cooperation with the Tōhō label. In 1954, the most important title he worked on, “Godzilla”, was published. He was associated with this series for a long time and was responsible for the special effects for subsequent parts, including “Godzilla Strikes Back”, “King Kong vs. Godzilla” and “Ghidorah – the three-headed monster”. In addition, he is the creator of “Ultra Series” starring Ultraman. Tsurbaya died on January 25, 1970. On the 114th birthday, Google honored him with an interactive doodle.
