In one scenario, the actor will end his role as underwater hero Arthur Curry in The Lost Kingdom , which is scheduled to premiere on December 25, 2023. But this would not mean the end of the actor’s involvement with DC. Probably Mamoa will lead another movie or series. Lobo was mentioned in collaboration with the actor. The character is an outcast and an anti-hero, so it’s in line with Gunn’s specialty of taking the unusual and bizarre and turning it into enjoyable material for viewers.

Gunn and Peter Safran began their tenure as co-founders of DC Studios in early November, and it’s safe to assume that DC’s future looks bright. The new heads of Warner Bros. Discovery issued a special statement about their satisfaction with this work.

The last released DC movie to hit theaters was Black Adam. Dwayne Johnson was cast in the lead role and the film also stars Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, Sarah Shahi as Adrianna Tomaz and Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate.
