Jack Sparrow – Pirates of the Caribbean
Jack Sparrow … Captain Jack Sparrow is probably a character that needs no introduction. Charismatic, crazy, brilliant, clumsy and mostly drunk too. To the main character of the Pirates of the Caribbean movie seriesplayed by Johnny Depp fit all these terms. He made his debut on the silver screen in 2003 and immediately won the sympathy of millions of people around the world. Although the productions with his participation were assessed differently, there is no doubt that the cinemas were filling up for him. It is hardly surprising. You never knew what the chaotic Jack Sparrow would come up with again to cheat death. He seemingly cares about no one but himself, but in fourteen years and five films he has broken this rule more than once to save people he can call his friends.
Captain Sparrow’s future looks not very bright right now. Although there are plans for a new version of Pirates , this time the subject of this hero is rather omitted. Some talk about the need to refresh the series and do a complete reboot. Others point to the loud scandal surrounding the actor playing him as the reason for the lack of a Black Pearl commander. Whether or not Johnny Depp will ever wear his signature costume again and return to the screen with a slightly staggering step, it is certain that Captain Jack Sparrow has achieved what he cared about so much – not rum or women or even treasures, but– immortality! – Krzysiek Płociński
