‘Frozen 3’ Gets an Encouraging Update!

The beloved Frozen series is getting a sequel! Jennifer Lee, Creative Director at Walt Disney Animation Studios, shared some interesting facts about the series!

Fans of the Frozen franchise will be pleased with this new update of Frozen 3 , straight from the mouth of one of its directors, Jennifer Lee. She has an impressive resume at Walt Disney Animation Studios, as one of the driving forces behind animated films such as Wreck-It Ralph , Zootopia and, of course , Frozen and Frozen 2 . Lee is now a creative director at Walt Disney Animation Studios , and she dropped some tidbits about work quietly starting on Frozen 3 .

Jennifer Lee was present at the London Film Festival for a keynote session where she discussed Frozen 3 .

Let me just say that they carved out time for me to work with the creative team last week. And I’m delighted. I’m very excited. I don’t know what I do with it yet. Maybe I’m not doing anything.

– Lee said.

The Frozen director is very excited about Frozen 3

While Jennifer Lee was the director/co-director of Frozen and Frozen 2 , she will not be helming the third installment in the franchise. Instead, he will serve in an advisory role as chief creative officer of Walt Disney Animation Studios. The next full-length animated film to debut from the studio is Wish. Lee, who is an executive producer and co-writer on the project, also shared a quote regarding Frozen 3 .

The only thing I can say is that Bob [Iger] announced that there is more Frozen . And I will say what we’re working on, I’m very, very, very excited. That’s all I can say.

– Lee joked.

Lee also explained why she didn’t return to the director’s chair for Wish:

No, what’s actually interesting is that I was part of the concept originally in a lot of the conversations, and the way I work as an executive producer is that I’m there for the big breakthroughs or I’m there to brainstorm ideas. We’ll have sessions and connect, and I do that for everything we’re working on. And then this one became special because Chris was already working on it. We knew he would direct, Fawn was with us, and when we were building it, I saw everything very clearly. I would start talking – Chris knows me so well – and I would start talking in dialogue when I saw a scene or they said an idea and I would imitate the character. And then they just asked if I could write a draft, at the beginning, when we had an idea but not a story.

– Lee shared.
