Fans fight for Johnny Depp’s return

It cannot be denied that the actor’s career has recently hung in the balance. Johnny Depp, who loses more and more roles, can count on the commitment and support of his loyal fans.

Johny Depp is known in the Hollywood world as an almost perfect actor. Although it’s hard to find a role in his rich filmography in which he did not prove himself, for many his flagship character is Jack Sparrow in the films of the Pirates of the Caribbean series Disney recently decided to return to the world of sea robbers and announced a reboot of production. However, the developers decided not to involve Depp.

It is not known whether this was related to the recent controversy over the actor’s private life or whether Disney simply decided to take the series in a different direction and give it a fresh form. However, this is not the first time for Depp. In early November, shortly after the court sentence, he was asked to resign from his role in Fantastic Beasts. Therefore, taking into account the recent events, it can be safely stated that the actor’s career is currently at one of the most difficult moments. Whatever triggered this decision, the fans did not like it, and they quickly took matters into their own hands.

As with the situation with the role of Grindelwald, there has been a petition aimed at getting Johnny Depp back into production of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. In it, fans argue that they cannot imagine the story of Jack Sparrow without Depp, or with the complete exclusion of his character. Referring to the nature of the film, they directly say that without his involvement, the film will simply “drown”. So you can expect a huge number of people boycotting the film, especially considering that the number of signatures has already exceeded 300,000.

Disney’s reaction has yet to be waited for, as the studio has so far failed to respond to fan requests. Regardless of the developers’ decision on this matter, it seems that the production will encounter more complications on its way than expected.
