St. Peter. Threat to the Roman Empire
Script: Patrice Perna
Drawings: Marc Jaulloux
Translation: Ernest Kacperski

Rome, 64 AD The city is consumed by a huge fire. At this time, Emperor Nero plays the harp, standing on the roof of his palace. The circumstances of the fire have not been clarified, but it is known that the emperor used it to start a merciless hunt for Christians. Among the captured and executed was the first of Christ’s twelve apostles, the one whom Jesus called Peter and on whom he chose to build his Church. The script was written by Partice Perna, a French journalist who devoted himself to writing scripts for historical comics, while the drawings were made by Marc Jailloux, associated with the Glenat publishing house. The comic received the Prix Européen Gabriel 2020 for the best Christian comic.
