The second album of the series by Jean Giraud, co-creator of the legendary “Blueberry”, taking place in the hot American South! The volume contains four episodes: “Lightning in the South”, “Up to the Neck”, “Colts, Ghosts and Zombies” and “Black Night”. Louisiana, shortly after the end of the Civil War. Young captain Jim Cutlass is being chased by corrupt local authorities, fortunately he has the support of a Union army garrison commander, on whose behalf he is conducting a secret investigation. During the course of his investigation, he discovers two conspiratorial conspiracies: one by members of the Ku Klux Klan organization, and the other by the people of a Negro sorcerer known as the White Alligator. Will Jim operating on the fringes of the law be able to do anything against powerful enemies? Not only chases and shootings await him, but also battles with zombies and magical duels in the dream world … However, no danger can stop the captain, because his most important goal is to save his beloved woman from the hands of the terrible Alligator! The series was invented by two French comic book legends: screenwriter Jean-Michel Charlier and cartoonist Jean Giraud, or Moebius (“The Unlucky Major”, “Arzach”, “Eden’s World”).
