Animal Man. Omnibus
Script: Grant Morrison
Drawings: ChazTruog, Tom Grummett
Translation: Paulina Braiter

The first Polish edition of all Animal Man adventures with scenarios by Grant Morrison. The now famous Scot at the beginning of his American career in the 1980s completely changed the image of the slightly forgotten DC hero, invented by Dave Wood and Carmine Infantino. Animal Man is the nickname of Buddy Baker, an exemplary husband and father who, under favorable circumstances, can take over the powers of animals – the strength of a tiger, a dog’s sense of smell, and the bird’s ability to fly. Unfortunately, he cannot break into the first league of heroes and remains dependent on his wife. However, he does not give up his dreams, and at the same time he is involved in the not entirely legal fight for animal rights. Before us, a series of stories full of humor and reflection about a man from the suburbs who does not even know how or why he was endowed with power, and when he suddenly loses it, he has no idea, what to do with yourself. Grant Morrison is the author of comics such as “Multiverse” and the series “Doom Patrol” as well as stories about Batman and Superman. Most of the drawings in the album are by Chaz Truog (“Coyote”, “Doctor Fate”, “Green Lantern”).

Now, however, the past is standing up for its own, and Tommy and his friend Natt Czapa have to face SAS specialists. Added to this is the mafia’s revenge weighing on them. In this situation, what could be better than enlisting in the mercenary army of a small African state? But is this really the best idea? Hitman’s character was created by two Irish creators – Eisner Award winner, screenwriter Garth Ennis (“The Preacher”, “Hellblazer”) and cartoonist John McCrea (“The Preacher”, “Spider-Man”). In 1999, HITMAN was honored with the Eisner Prize for Best Single Book.
