The Marvel Studios panel at San Diego Comic Con delivered the first trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda in My Heart , offering fans a first look at the highly anticipated sequel. In July, promotional art was released featuring many of the key characters in Black Panther: Wakanda in My Heart including Letitia Wright as Shuri, Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia, Danai Gurira as Okoye and Tenoch Huerta as Namor the Sub-Mariner. Huerty’s role was kept strictly a secret, but we now know the King of Atlantis will be the central villain of the film.

Chadwick Boseman, who passed away due to cancer in 2020, will not play in Wakanda . Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige said the film will honor Boseman.
“We miss Chad a lot. But everyone is also very excited to bring the Wakanda world back to the public. We’re going to do it in a way that makes Chad proud, ”Feige said ahead of the Black Widow Global Fan Event in Los Angeles in 2021.
Another actor from the original Black Panther who will not return is Daniel Kaluuya. During an interview with Nope , the star shared that there were problems with the schedule. It was assumed that a large chunk of the cast would return in order to return to Wakanda . Many of the actors in the first movie were pressured to get involved and so far it felt like the whole team was back together.
And in a previous interview with Jemele Hill, Daniel Kaluuya said he would appear in the sequel if the story demands it.
