Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo are currently releasing their next film, The Gray Man . In an interview with Deadline, the duo were asked which Marvel production could be next in line. They revealed it was most likely Secret Wars .
In 2019, the Russo brothers ended their adventure with Avengers: Endgame and were inundated with questions whether they would return to Marvel Studios. Speaking to MTV’s Josh Horowitz, Russo revealed that after the hiatus, they will definitely be ready to go ahead with the Secret Wars adaptation .
Now, right after the premiere of their latest movie, when asked again about the future of the Avengers franchise, Joe Russo said :
Our love for Marvel is based on the comics we read in our childhood – the ones we fell in love with. The series that we really loved growing up was Secret Wars. It would be an incredibly ambitious project. Bigger than Infinity War and Game Over. But it’s a huge undertaking, and these two films were very difficult to make. So assuming the next two would have to be even bigger … we’re gonna have to sleep on it.
Therefore, we can count that this is not the end of the adventures of our favorite heroes!
