The Return of the King , like the rest of the trilogy, was created as an adaptation of the cult novel by JRR Tolkien. Considered a masterpiece of fantasy films, it won as many as 11 Oscars in each of the nominated categories. He was also a laureate of 4 Golden Globe statuettes and two MTV Movie Awards, and the review portal Rotten Tomatoes awarded him a 95% mark. The Lord of the Rings ended with a flourish, still being an absolute movie classic, known by every cinema fan.
The last part of the trilogy shows the final clash between the forces of good and evil. Each of the heroes is at a key point, and the story is about to end. After a long and tiring journey, Frodo and Sam finally find their way to Mordor under the leadership of Gollum. They don’t know, however, that the creature is leading them into a trap. Under the pretext of a better way to reach their destination, he leads them into a cave inhabited by a huge, dangerous spider. Meanwhile, the rest of the Fellowship unites in Gondor, which becomes the target of the orcs conquering Middle-earth piece by piece. The enemy’s strength is frighteningly greater, and the chances of victory decrease with every passing moment. The last hope, then, is in the two halflings who must face the mountain of destiny themselves.
