The title character of the series Enola et les animaux extraordinaires is ready to go to the end of the world to save strange creatures in need or danger. The first volume of her adventures is a collective album that contains two original volumes: Unforgettable Gargoyle and For the rescue of unicorns .
In the story The Unruly Gargoyle , Enola is called to a town, where the gargoyle that adorns the wall of the church keeps pouring water on people leaving the mass. The parishioners are fed up with the unruly sculpture and demand its removal. A young veterinarian inquisitively investigates the cause of the gargoyle’s behavior. Initial diagnosis does not solve the problem, however – it is not the fear of heights that causes the creature’s strange behavior. Will Enola discover why the gargoyle stubbornly turns to face the church’s exit and makes the town’s lives unpleasant?
In the short story Save the Unicorns , Enola investigates the cause of the strange behavior of a group of unicorns. Over the years, the creatures lived in peace with the inhabitants of a nearby village and adhered to the boundaries in the forest where they could move. One day, however, unicorns invaded people’s territory and scared the children. In addition, the trees that had been magic in the forest had lost their power and made it impossible for people to work. Will the young vet discover what is really going on in the village?
