Good news for Zombicide board game fans ! With a short trailer, CMON officially announced the sequel to the interesting spin-off of the series, based on fantasy climates, i.e. Zombicide: White Death .
The sequel to the medieval fantasy spin-off Zombicide is coming soon to Kickstarter . CMON today introduced Zombicide: White Death , the sequel to the popular game series Zombicide: Black Plague . Details about the new Zombicide are scarce for now, but it is known that the leitmotif will be winter with ice zombies and other frosty threats. There are strong references to Game of Thrones here , including ‘Wintergrad’ on the map, where the name sounds very similar to Winterfell. The trailer for the new installment of Zombicide is available below:
Zombicide is one of CMON’s greatest series. They are cooperative games where players try to complete specific objectives of their missions while avoiding or stopping waves of zombies. One of the keys to the game’s system is that zombies and elite zombie variants constantly flood the board in ever-increasing numbers as players become more powerful through a variety of scenarios, meaning there won’t be much time to rest between zombie attacks.
CMON first kicked off the fantasy spin-off Zombicide in 2015 with the release of Zombicide: Black Plague . Here, the player characters could use magic spells and melee weapons and traditional ranged weapons (not using gunpowder). In 2018, CMON released Zombicide: Green Horde , which added orc zombies and a horde mechanic that can ambush players in unexpected places when enough zombie cards are drawn.
In recent years, CMON has used Zombicide for crossovers with various other pop culture franchises. It was established, among others Marvel Zombies , running on the Zombicide engine , but here the undead are faced by superheroes and supervillains, and there are also defenseless civilians on the board who also need to be protected. CMON has also added special character packs from Supernatural , Ghostbusters and The Boys that can be integrated into Zombicide editions .
