Hugh Jackman Excited To Work With Ryan Reynolds?

In a recent interview with The Guardian, Jackman talked about Wolverine reprising his role in Deadpool 3 and gave a hilarious reason why he wants to work with Reynolds.

No, everything was fine. I wasn’t tortured by it. When people asked me [to reprise the role] – including Ryan, every five seconds – I would say, “I’m done.”

– said Jackman about abandoning the iconic Marvel role

I just wanted to do it and I felt it in my stomach… I can punch Ryan Reynolds any day.

– he added, referring to the return to Deadpool 3

When will Deadpool 3 premiere?

Deadpool 3 is scheduled to premiere on May 3, 2024. Jackman trains hard for the role and even had a few wardrobe mishaps due to his growing muscles. Recently, the actor said that the decision to return as Wolverine in the upcoming movie was his own decision. He caught up with the X-Men star on TikTok to ask him how Reynolds convinced him to return to the role. Jackman quipped, “I make my own decisions, brother.”

Deadpool 3 will be directed by Shawn Levy and written by Wendy Molyneaux and Lizzie Molyneaux-Loeglin of Bob’s Burgers, with Deadpool and Deadpool 2 writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick also reportedly returning to contribute to the script. Part 3 also stars Morena Baccarin as Vanessa Carlysle, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Stefan Kapičić as Piotr Rasputin/Colossus and Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen in currently unknown roles.
