Another initiative
In the first issue of Imaginarium Wielkopolski , we have the opportunity to read six stories, written mostly by the inhabitants of Poznań, a city strongly represented also by the editors of the Last Tavern. Contrary to LandbergON , for example, the magazine does not have a specific topic, so the stories are from various areas of fantasy, although in many of them we can find a water theme. We start with the Shine on the River by Kinga Chojnacka. This is an extremely interesting and suspenseful thriller, in which the hair can actually stand on the head. It is also terrifying when you look into the abyssPatryk Betliński. In this case, we will be dealing with a religious thread and a real demon. Will Jesus from Górna Wilda, written by Radosław Darmił, save us from him ? Maybe not, because the hero himself will be surprised by his divine power. On the way, there will also be a work inspired by the novel by Campbell by Olaf Tumski. It is a deeper analysis of how we can overestimate ourselves, even when we are part of the Lords of the Exuberance. Finally, we will return to the horrors, and more specifically, The Storm Monstrosity . Its author, Marcin Karaśkiewicz, has created a story for us that would be a perfect fit for the introduction of the next episode of From the X -Files . Until I waited for the FBI agents to come on stage!
There is one more story in the issue. It is called Little Knight (Goplana and Wir) . It is surprising because, apart from the legend, which we might expect, it also contains erotic threads. And it’s quite bold! Radosław Olek very skillfully combined both genres and that’s why we decided to read the whole story for you. You can listen to the audiobook on our channel !
Finally, let’s add that an interview awaits you at Imaginarium , and it’s completely unusual. Kamil Kwiatkowski decided to talk to artificial intelligence! His questions were answered by AI Dungeon, a program that generates text-based role-playing games. What did the system say interesting? See for yourself!
A look at fantasy
The first issue of the fantastic magazine from Wielkopolska is not only a plot, but also a graphic design. Jakub Pańków is responsible for the cover. He is also the author of several black and white pictures inside the magazine. Like the writers, the artist also refers to the water theme, presenting us with several sea monsters. We can also admire the works of Jakub Rabiega. His paintings depicting Gimli or the Fellowship of the Ring would certainly not be disdained by any Lord of the Rings fan and would gladly hang them on the wall in a room. The illustrations are complemented by the unusual she- wolf by Anna Pietrawska. Power flows from it, which encourages even more to read the entire First Maginarium .
Keep it up!
The NOVUM Association has set itself the goal of creating fantastic warehouses in each of the provinces. They implement their idea, and we are very happy about this initiative. This is a great opportunity to find true literary and artistic talents and give them a chance to show themselves to a wider audience. By the way, we have the opportunity to read more fantasy stories. And because the editorial office knows its work and chooses the best for us, we do not have to be afraid of boredom or graphic design. This time it was proved in the Imaginarium Wielkopolski , which reads as well as its Opole counterpart or LandsbergON from Gorzów . We hope for more and we recommend that you read the latest issue!
