Witches with Sal
Sarah Goode was a true witch, the Salem Witch who founded the town of Goodeville, Illinois, many centuries ago; Led by her divine guide, she planted trees on a pentagram plan to protect the gates to the five underworlds. Years later, Sarah’s descendants Mercy and Hunter Good also lead witch lives, but more importantly, they are ordinary teenagers who go to high school and dream of great love. One of them has a crush on the captain of the football team, the other – is waiting for the love of his life, preferably of the female sex. The reality changes on the girls’ sixteenth birthday – the ancient trees, which constantly protect the world from demons, begin to rot and smell of hydrogen sulphide, people die as well … The twins must activate their powers to protect their loved ones and defeat evil.
Young Adult 2021
This is another proposition for teenage readers (12-18 years old), although if you are already of legal age don’t be afraid – Spells Trouble. Everyone can like the witch’s spell . Despite the fact that the protagonists are teenage witches, they must show maturity and risk their lives in order to face the superhuman power that will undoubtedly try to disturb the order in the peaceful town of Goodeville. Reading the blurb , we can easily guess that the gates of the Underworld cannot be sealed forever; the plot must have some kind of skeleton after all! Mage and Hunter will meet the demons of Tartarus, the wraiths of Norse hell and gods who will not let themselves be quickly forgotten. Will the protagonists cope with problems typical of teenagers if they are supported by friends not only from this world?Spells Trouble. Witcher Time is an extensive (over 300 pages), paperback book, which would be supplemented by illustrations. I regret that the authors have not decided to enrich the proposal with such additions.
Don’t judge a book too quickly
At first, the book does not attract you, but a dozen or so pages later you may not be able to tear yourself away. You will probably like the magical world of the sorcerer, although I would not recommend this proposal to people who expect an ambitious reading about modern witches. Spells Trouble. The Witches of Time is primarily a light item in a youthful atmosphere, a bit similar to those reviewed above me These Witches Do Not Burn and This Sabbath Will Not Fall Isabel Sterling. It is also worth remembering that the book is the first volume in the Sisters of Salem series . We’ll see what the future holds.
I am enclosing a special thanks to Jaguar Publishing House, which sent aromatic (magic?) Tea bags with the book. A bit of magic while reading.
