With the right approach, you will gain allies who will come to your side. However, if you don’t take care of the relationship, they will quickly run away to the competition, and you will be left with a knife in the back. An intriguing measure
The position has been designed for three to six players, it can be played from the age of fourteen, and the game lasts about an hour and a half. The box is medium in size, but you can easily take it with you to a social event. Inside there is a time track, fifty-seven marker tokens (season, player or round), one hundred and seventy-four cards and the necessary instructions. The sheets contain allies, leaders, but also influences or significant events.
I must admit that the whole thing looks really good. The cards are well made, and the graphics on them reflect the atmosphere of Martin’s saga. You can’t fault the chips either, but I have a slight problem with the time track, which is really bad in terms of quality. Quite small and thin, after a few games you can see a slight wear on it.

When all players are ready, it’s time to prepare. The time track lands on the table, available to everyone, with round and season markers on it. You will need an ally deck, tokens, and influence cards (each gets ten in hand). The next step is to choose your own leader, of course, you can also draw it, hoping for luck. There were also well-known and popular heroes such as Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen or Eddard Stark. It’s up to us what we decide on, because in a normal game it doesn’t really matter who we fall prey to.

The most important task is to create the Little Council of Westeros, obviously the most influential, significant and strongest. Leaders are surrounded on both sides by ally cards and power tokens. And here comes one of the rules of the game, because he shares both parts with other participants. For everyone’s sake, it’s best to work together to create a strong alliance, but we know very well that things can turn out very differently.
Power matters
It is known that everyone cares about the greatest possible support and they are fiercely fighting for it. The more influence, the better. Allies offer power, and tokens have a value of one to three, but it is a mystery until the very end. The game is all about building strong bonds with your friends by offering them influence. The cards assigned to them have several tasks, and one of them is special abilities that will force opponents to do what we want. Each participant also has a power token that falls after bidding, which can be assigned to any council. And as you might expect, the strongest Little Council wins.
Rolling towards the end
The whole gameplay is quite dynamic and there are many moral dilemmas, whether you want to be honest or have evil intentions? It’s up to us which way we want to go. The rules are not complicated and very easy to learn. The title is definitely a must for all fans of A Song of Ice and Fire , especially since you have to be very observant and think three moves ahead.
