The Harry Potter saga is intended for children and teens, yet you can find violence and details in it that are not suitable for the youngest. Already in the first part we learn that the main character saw with his own eyes Lord Voldemort murdering his parents in his early childhood. Later it was not easier for him, because his mother’s sister and her family did not treat him lightly either. He ends up at Hogwarts, the wizarding school that is theoretically the safest place in the magical world, and even where his parents’ killer finds him. It is also worth noting that each subsequent volume about Harry’s adventures becomes darker and darker for more and more mature readers.
Fans would love to see the murder element from the books in Hogwarts Legacy. It is specifically about the Avada Kedavra killing spell. For those unfamiliar with the series – this spell kills the opponent immediately after hitting him with it, making it one of the unforgivable spells.
In Hogwarts Legacy , since it is an RPG, the player will be able to decide if he wants to be a good wizard or a bad one. Adding a killing sentence to the game would make sense, because it would better reflect the world of books and diversify the development of the character, the choice of its path and the gameplay itself. An additional element could be difficulties with casting such a spell, because the unforgivable ones required from the wizard casting them sincere intentions, but also high skill. It would definitely be an interesting element of the game.
The developers admitted on Twitter that they are familiar with this particular whim of the players. In the last shot from the video shared in the same Tweet , you can see that you can cast the spell discussed earlier.
The Hogwarts Legacy will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC and Nintendo Switch.
