According to the latest reports, Amazon Prime Video and the BBC are considering extending the series Good Omens for a third season! However, there is a “but” that fans may not be happy with.
There are many indications that Good Omens will receive another and final season. If this actually happens, we will certainly see the entire main cast, including Michael Sheen and David Tennant. They are covered by the contract. Neil Gaiman would again be at the helm of production . However, it appears that Good Omens showrunner, director and executive producer Douglas Mackinnon will not return for season three.
Douglas Mackinnon has officially announced on Instagram that he is leaving Good Omens . In one of his posts, he was asked by a fan to finish the series and present the full story of the angel Aziraphale and the demon Crowley. In response, he wrote that he was no longer involved in this project. The information was also confirmed by Neil Gaiman, writing on social media that “Douglas has moved on to another project.”
