Although Kojima is no longer working with Konami, that doesn’t mean the Metal Gear Solid franchise is dead. New console versions of Metal Gear Solid are currently in development, and it will likely be Metal Gear Solid 4 as well .
A remaster or a remake of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will probably come from Konami. The Metal Gear Solid series is one of gaming’s most innovative, iconic and beloved titles. This is mainly due to creator Hideo Kojima . Unfortunately, Kojima put Metal Gear Solid aside after the release of the fifth major installment. He then left Konami as a result of an internal conflict. Fortunately, refreshed classics are in vogue right now and are a relatively easy source of income for developers. Consequently, the remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is already being created by a new team.
Additionally, Konami will release HD versions of the first three Metal Gear Solid installments on PS5 . It will happen this fall. However, it turns out that Konami is also working on a new release of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots . The game is currently only available for PS3. In the tweet below, you can see Konami’s declaration that they are creating Metal Gear Solid editions available for new platforms. There are also covers of views that will be refreshed first. It is also worth paying attention to the inscription Volume 1 , which suggests that we will receive more parts in the future.
Given that Metal Gear Solid 4 is virtually unavailable for next-gen consoles, it would be great to be able to play it on PS5, and maybe on Xbox, if that’s even possible. Time will tell how the fate of the resurrected Metal Gear Solid franchise will unfold .
