After 20 years, a new Superman game may finally be made. James Gunn has just hinted that people will spend more time in the Superman universe.
Over the past decade, we’ve had an explosion of truly fantastic superhero games. As publishers began to move away from film connections, we started getting installments such as the Batman: Arkham series , Spider-Man, and upcoming titles about Iron Man , Captain America and Black Panther , and even Wolverine . However, there is one superhero that has been left behind when it comes to gaming: Superman. He appears in team-based games such as Injustice , MultiVersus , and will appear in Suicide Squad: Justice League Death . However, it’s been almost 20 years since Man of Steel got its own game.
However, that may soon change. As noted by TweakTown , Warner Bros. CEO David Zaslav seemed to suggest in a recent investor call that we could see a new Superman game around the same time as Superman: Legacy , the new Superman movie by James Gunn , which will be released in 2025 . _ _ He did n’t confirm that a new game was coming , but he talked about that WB has the unique advantage of owning the entire IP that its video game developers are working on .
When we launch a product on Max or HBO and when we have a game, it belongs to us, but now there’s something in between. That could happen in the next few years when we launch a Superman movie and… people will spend more time hanging out in the Superman world and universe.

James Gunn talked about how the new DC Universe will be woven into games with his movies and TV shows , so this could be one of the first attempts of its kind . At the moment, we have no idea what all this might look like. If a new Superman game comes out, it’ll probably be a while before we hear more about it, but it’s even exciting that Warner Bros. mentions this idea.
