Will one of the most popular installments in the post-apocalyptic RPG series be back? The latest reports indicate such a possibility.
Jeff Grubb informed about everything during his Grubbsnax show. According to his sources, Microsoft has started internal discussions about New Vegas 2. The game would be created in the Obsidian studio owned by the IT giant. Grubb noted that the topic is at a very early stage and that there is no guarantee that production will start. At the same time, if the project was given the green light, its implementation would be years away.
If Fallout: New Vegas 2 is actually created, it is definitely a big chance for Xbox. Microsoft may follow a similar path as Sony for PlayStation exclusive titles. If such a loud game was first released on the console, it would definitely significantly increase the sales of Xbox. A later release on computers would only improve the financial result of the production. In addition, a well-made sequel to one of the most popular installments of the series could wash away the disgust after the problems related to Fallout 76 and Fallout 4 .
Fallout: New Vegas was released over eleven years ago. It was the second title in this series published by Bethesda and the first one that Obsidian studio dealt with. The game was warmly received by critics and gamers and became a commercial success, selling over five million copies.
