A real university
As we remember well, crazy Tiny Toons attended a school called Looniversity. The end-university, however, is misleading here, because the educational institution looked more like a high school. Let’s start with the students themselves who took the tests frequently, rather than having serious exams. The head of this institution was the director Bugs Bunny, not the rector. I wonder if the gray himself was aware of this? Older Toons, or Bugs friends such as Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Sylvester Cat and Tasmanian Devil, were teachers rather than lecturers. Moreover, they had their own teachers’ room, and not special chairs responsible for various fields of wild science.
Everything seems to indicate that this version – like the reboot of Duck Tales – will be aimed more at the older generation, brought up on the original version of the series. Besides, we will finally see a real university. Just look at the promotional graphics that show us the Babs Bunny in an American student sweater. It is quite likely that it is the end of school and time for a higher level of education.
And since we are dealing with a university, maybe some international or intergalactic exchange programs? My favorite Toon is choleric Marvin the Martian. And maybe not many of you remember, but only in one episode of Tiny Toon Adventures appeared his protege and student – Marsha the Martian. In my opinion, it would be good if the developers developed this topic a bit this time. An interesting solution is also to place the skunks Fifi and Rodriquez’s mouse as students from France and Mexico, who will entertain the audience with their ideas taken from abroad.

What could go wrong
I also have a few concerns. First, I’m afraid of the freaky green Dodo bird coming back. It is true that he was an integral part of the ACME realm, nevertheless there were many other, much funnier characters than this pockmarked friend. It was supposed to be the essence of fun, and the essence of too much clowning came out. I also have a problem with Lola. I love this character, but it appeared in 1996, after the emission of Tiny Toon Adventures . Will there be a place for her too? Maybe she would become a basketball teacher? After all, she was an important part of the Toon Squad both in the first Space Jam and its continuation, without which the Toons were without a chance against aliens or digital NBA players.
When it comes to the Space Jam, another problem arises with the latest installment, starring LeBron James. While the idea of the great WB universe, of which the ACME land is a part, was really noble, its execution – not very successful. We got a huge ad for Warner Bros. movies and series and their newest HBO Max platform. I don’t mind special episodes where Hamton J. Pig, Plucky Duck or Babs fight alongside Wonder Woman, fight motorcycle gangs from post-apocalyptic Australia or even do acrobatics alongside Neo. Only one condition: let this plot be a little more explored than in the last cinematic movie with Looney Tunes.
The last thing that worries me is political correctness. Pepe Le Pew is an inseparable hero of the Toon world, but as a result of a rather strong interpretation, he was removed from the last Space Jam, because he was a symbol of sexual assault. Really? He has never even had a closer relationship with his kittens, for which he sighs. Pepe is a stereotypical lover who wants to win the heart of some female at all costs. Ideally, policymakers at Warner Bros. they changed their minds and brought that Toon back, because following this lead we’ll soon take Speedy off for being a caricature of a poor Mexican who doesn’t wear shoes.
I’m looking forward
I could write more about my expectations, but nevertheless I have introduced you to the most important ones. I believe that the reboot of Tiny Toon Adventures has potential, and from what is already known, a second season has been ordered at Burbank. Finally, if there will be a lot of episodes, I would like to see Slowpoke as a mentor for a new Toon, but for now I have to be patient – most likely until next year – to see if it is worth waiting for the second season at all.
