Changes, constant changes in the life of the Spider! What will the fate of the president of one of the world's largest corporations this time? It certainly won't let him get bored!
Spider-man, or rather his real personality, that is Peter Parker, has recently experienced many life changes. He became the owner of a huge multinational corporation, began to create technologies used around the world, began financing his aunt’s charitable foundation, and changed women like gloves. These are considerable modifications, considering that for most of his life he was a poor employee of publishing houses or schools, and his love lasted for many years. This crazy chase made the comics about the adventures of the Spider change its atmosphere as well. Will it not stop when Doctor Octopus, the de facto founder of Parker Industries’ financial powerhouse, reappears on the scene? What will be more important to Peter? A financial power to help many in need in the world, or to stop a villain?
Creators of the fight against evil
Dan Slott and Christos Gage are responsible for the Global Network , who for several albums have been developing the story started in the Superior Spider-man series. Their ideas record their ups and downs. The latest album, apart from the twists typical of superhero comics, which would not exist in the real world, looks quite interesting. Peter’s dilemmas and his ideas for dealing with the situation come to the fore. Will he be able to defeat a powerful opponent who knows his own company better than he does? Will it also cope with its other enemies? There are also stories in this volume about how Norman Osborn tries to return to his “true” self by various methods, and the subsequent arguments between Spidey and the Human Torch. The atmosphere and the level of seriousness change from notebook to notebook – the story of Green Goblin belongs to more serious considerations on the nature of madness, and then follows the meaningless story of a quarrel with Human Torch, so typical of a tricycle comic. On the one hand, this volume shows that sacrificing your own good and the interests of others for the benefit of even more neighbors is a worthy act (even if you are hated for it), but on the other – if you disagree with your friend, start talking to him instead. fight him! The best is spectacular and regardless of the safety of outsiders. Oh, such a paradox. so instead of talking to him, start fighting him! What do spiders look like?
Stuart Immonen is responsible for the graphics of most of the notebooks, who gave the story momentum and momentum with his expressive style. Sometimes it is very precise, and in some scenes it gives the impression of a casually drawn line, dosing both the rhythm of the story and the emphasis on the desired elements in an appropriate way. A great interplay with Marta Garcia – a colourist – makes the comic a pleasure to look at. The short story about Norman Osborn was handled by Greg Smallwood, who illustrated it in a relatively realistic, but economical way, reminiscent of the Image or Vertigo stables. Nevertheless, it is a successful procedure, taking into account the subject of this passage. The economy of means of expression and limited dynamics work very well in this case as well.
Egmont publishing house has already accustomed fans to the constant level of their comics. High-quality paper and printing, as well as a not-so-high price for an album containing seven sub-notebooks, make the latest part of the Amazing Spider-man series look quite decent as usual. Bartosz Czartoryski’s translation does not disappoint either, so malcontents will not have an easy task in terms of looking for editorial shortcomings.
Is it worth hunting spiders?
The seventh volume of the series is therefore a consistent continuation of the previous parts. To start reading it, it is worth reading not only the previous parts of the Amazing series , but also the Superior version . It is true that the saga does not present high quality along its entire length and there are stories both great and those that are painful to read, but the latest album itself comes out of this comparison unscathed and it is worth taking a look at it. Especially with the eye!
