During The Wheel of Time: Origins panel at San Diego Comic Con, Amazon Prime Video officially confirmed that the third season of the Wheel of Time will be made . It will be an adaptation of the fourth part of the cycle, entitled The one who comes with the dawn .
Amazon ‘s adaptation of the Wheel of Time made its debut last fall. In Moiraine, a member of the female organization Aes Sedai who searched for the Dragon Reborn in the first season, was portrayed by Rosamund Pike.
When Amazon confirmed season three, showrunner Rafe Judkins was excited:
I’m so excited that we’ll be doing the third season of The Wheel of Time. “The One Who Comes With Dawn” has always been my favorite book in the series, so being able to bring it to TV and show new viewers the story that made me fall in love with these books is a great honor and something I’ve been working on since I thought about the show for the first time many years ago.
Vernon Sanders, Global TV Manager at Amazon Studios, also commented on the show’s sequel:
