The future of the next brand, which Disney took over with the purchase of FOX assets, was revealed.
During the last meeting with shareholders, the president of Disney Company – Bob Iger – spoke about the future of the Planet of the Apes brand . As it turns out, the Mickey Mouse company not only plans new films from this famous series, but also intends to continue the ongoing series of prequels. For now, it is not known when the next films can be expected.
Thus, Planet of the Apes has joined the group of those series that Disney intends to develop further. During the Marvel Studios (also owned by Disney) panel at Comic Con in San Diego, it was announced that X-Meni and the Fantastic Four are already in the plans for the future of the MCU. There were also recently confirmed reboots of Night at the museum and Kevin alone at home . Additionally, work on Avatar sequels is already underway .
Disney clearly does not intend to throw the purchased rights and licenses into the drawer.
