During the meeting with investors on revenues, Ubisoft representatives introduced a bit more about the plan for the further development of Assassin’s Creed . The series, the last three installments of which were typical RPGs, will still stick to this convention. Many fans who want a return to the old style of gaming will surely not enjoy this news.
The French motivate their decision with one important statistic. According to their analyzes, the market is moving further towards RPG titles. This is confirmed by the last installment – Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla – which scored the best opening in the history of the series. There is only one conclusion – the market has spoken and Ubisoft is listening to it. Unless there are any major changes in sales results, there will be no further revolutions or a return to the old convention.
Launched in 2007, the series includes twelve installments of the main series and the same number of spin-offs and titles for mobile platforms. In addition, the Assassin universe is complemented by novels, comics, short films and one full-length film. The series from Netflix is also being worked on.
