During conversations with fans , Nicolas Cage admitted that three films with his participation should be preserved and shown to future generations. The actor chose Bringing Out the Dead , Pig and Leaving Las Vegas . In addition, he revealed that he really wanted David Lynch to appear in the The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent , which unfortunately did not work. The artist also confessed that he is ready to shoot the second part of Face/Off , as it is one of his favorite action films. However, he would like John Travolta to be re-cast as well, and John Woo would take on directing, because Cage had a pure pleasure working with this duo.
Finally, the question was asked what the dream role of Nick was, to which he replied without hesitation:
I would like to play Captain Nemo because of this character’s love for the ocean that I share with him.
Recall that the character of Captain Nemo was created by Jules Verne, and in the film Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas appeared for the first time in 1916. The most famous adaptation, however, remains the one from 1954. The hero also appeared in comic books from the The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. So far, they played him, among others Michael Caine, James Mason, Herbert Lom, Patrick Stewart, Naseeruddin Shah and Ben Cross. Will Nic Cage also join this group?
