By the end of the third season of "Westworld" there are only two episodes. High-level representatives of HBO saw it as the perfect time to announce the future of the series. Production fans can already be happy.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the popular science fiction series will see its fourth season. Casey Bloys, the president of HBO, informed about the extension in a special statement. He also revealed that Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy will continue to supervise the next episodes. A potential release date has not been announced yet.
So far, it is not known how many episodes will consist of the fourth season. So far, the trend has been declining. The first two series had ten episodes each, and the ongoing third has only eight episodes. If the next season is the last, it may be treated like Game of Thrones – fewer episodes, but they will be longer.
Currently, Westworld focuses on the struggle for supremacy between Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood), a liberated host trying to unleash a global revolution, and the mysterious businessman Engerraund Serak (Vincent Cassel). The latter, the main antagonist of the season, has long been hiding in the shadows and plotting how to get the secrets stored in Delos.
