The Marvel Universe in the Eternals and Princess Diana in a daring performance by Kristen Stewart are the most hot premieres, which Cinema City invites to starting on November 5. In addition, there will be Polish productions that confirm the opinion about the excellent condition of Polish cinema – All our fears (winner of this year’s Golden Lions), Zygielbojm’s Death and It Must Be Love . Eternals joins the pool of superproductions that can be watched in IMAX and 4DX in Cinema City .
Eternals , the latest film from the hit Marvel cinematic universe, tells the story of a group of members of an ancient, immortal race of aliens, created by the Celestians, who have been hidden on Earth for many thousands of years. The events that we witnessed in Avengers: Endgame , as well as an unexpected catastrophe, mean that they will have to reveal themselves in an attempt to save humanity from the impending danger. Our planet began to be threatened by the Deviants, our eternal enemy.
In Eternals , the movie that opens a new chapter in the history of the MCU, we will see a whole galaxy of stars that have so far been missing in the universe loved by fans. Richard Madden and Kit Harington, known from Game of Thrones, will play the roles of the all-powerful Ikarus and Dane Whitman. Salma Hayek will play the wise guide Ajak. On the screen we will also see Angelina Jolie, who will play the role of the relentless warrior Thena, or Brian Tyree Henry known from the Atlanta series. The Eternals team is completed by Gemma Chan, Kumail Nanjiani, Lia McHugh and Lauren Ridloff. Rising movie star Chloé Zhao, winner of two Oscars for Nomadland (Best Picture and Best Director) is responsible for directing.
Another high-profile weekend premiere will be Spencer , a drama starring Kristen Stewart as Princess Diana. The film, directed by Pablo Larraín, shows three days in the life of the “queen of human hearts”, during which a decision is made about the further fate of an unhappy marriage. The story of Prince Charles and Princess Diana is well known, and the series about the British royal family shown in recent years broke records of popularity, but the movie Spencerbrings surprisingly much to our image of Diana. A great merit in this is the actress of the main role, who skillfully shows the complex character of the protagonist. Additionally, a well-defined time frame and setting – Christmas at Sandringham Palace – show what has changed in Diana after a decade of failed marriage. The film’s director, Pablo Larraín, cast Jack Farthing, Timothy Spall and Sally Hawkins in the remaining roles.
On November 5, moving Polish premieres will appear on the screens. Zygielbojm’s Death , directed by Ryszard Bryski, returns to the times of World War II and the theme of the Holocaust. A young British reporter comes to London in 1943 on the suicide death of a mysterious stranger from Poland. The story turns out to be so dramatic and shocking that the whole world should hear about it. The deceased, after unsuccessful attempts to reach the leaders of Western countries with information about the crimes committed against European Jews, decides to publicize the drama differently. The film features Wojciech Mecwaldowski, Jack Roth, Karolina Gruszka, Aleksandra Popławska, Tomasz Sapryk and Marcin Bosak. Another movie is All Our Fears, the story of homophobia in a small town. The main character, Daniel (Dawid Ogrodnik), is an artist, Catholic and activist. The dramatic events that will meet him will make him fight boldly in defense of his ideas and deal with the homophobia of the inhabitants of his hometown. On the screen, the gardener is accompanied, among others, by Andrzej Chyra and Jacek Poniedziałek. Based on the facts, the film was appreciated at this year’s Gdynia Festival, where it won the Golden Lions. To catch your breath from difficult but necessary topics, Cinema City invites you to the romantic comedy That Must Be Love . Małgorzata Kożuchowska, Tomasz Karolak and Rafał Królikowski in a touching and funny film about the adventures of love will encourage viewers to reflect on the role of love and friendship in our lives.
Cinema City has also started presale of tickets for the latest film by Patryk Vega, Pitbull , which is scheduled for a premiere on November 11.
