Who the title character is , everyone knows. The series has won an unimaginable number of viewers in a very short time. In fact, immediately after the end of the first season, there was talk about the next one. However, there were many rumors on the internet about moving the production to another streaming platform, such as Prime Video, due to the new deal between Amazon and MGM. Netflix quickly denied all reports and officially confirmed the second season of the beloved Wednesday on its Twitter .
It was really interesting to find out: okay, well, there has to be some way to push the story forward, but how can we stay true to her deadpan self? It was a challenge and I’m curious to see how it plays. I’ve never had the opportunity to play an iconic character before. I know she is loved and respected and I just don’t want to spoil her.
Jenna Ortega said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly
We never saw her as a teenager. You know, it’s funny, sweet, and almost adorable to hear this eight-year-old’s obsession with murder, blood, and guts. When she gets older, that nasty attitude or biting remarks it’s hard not to do and sound like any other teenage girl. It’s like creating this character and giving her the same fire without letting her become something she’s not.
