Various spin-offs have been tried in the past, and The CW is once again trying to restore the charm of the Winchester family. After all, the latest production will focus on John and Mary Winchester, and the lead roles have just been found.
As reported by the Hollywood Reporter, Meg Donnelly will play the female character, and Drake Rodger will be seen as John. They will join Jensen Ackles, who played Dean in Not of This World , and will now be the production narrator.
The Winchesters will be told from the perspective of Dean, who tells the story of his parents’ complicated life and romance. We will move to the moment before meeting John and Mary and we will see the beginnings of their relationship and what they had to sacrifice to save the world.
The CW released a brief characterization of the character. Mary is supposed to be a nineteen-year-old struggling with adversity. He has been standing up against the forces of darkness for most of his life. After she loses a loved one, she decides to leave the family business, until her father disappears and John appears with whom she creates a new band.
As for John, we meet him after returning from Vietnam. He is selfless and has a clear mind. He finds a new mission after returning home, when traces of his father’s past lead him to a secret organization where he meets the hunter’s world.
At the moment, it is not known when the production is to be released, and The CW still has a plan to release the title.
