The stars of the series “Daredevil” will soon return to their cult roles. It will take place in the spinoff of “Hawkeye”.
The Hollywood Reporter website announced that Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock / Daredevil) and Vincent D’Onofrio (Wilson Fisk / Kingpin) will return to the Marvel universe in the Echo series . According to anonymous sources cited by the site, in the upcoming production, one of the plot threads is to be devoted to the hero from Hell’s Kitchen. As part of this story, the blind hero will search for his old ally. No additional details are available yet about the participation of both actors in the series.
Both Cox and D’Onofrio have already made their debut in the main MCU. The Matt Murdock impersonator had a brief episode in Spider-Man: No Way Home as Peter Parker’s lawyer. In turn, the dangerous boss of the criminal underworld of New York was the main antagonist in the series Hawkeye . The main character of Echo , Maya Lopez, played by Alaqua Cox, debuted in the same production .
The plot of the production will focus on the life of Kingpin’s former protégé after she decided to abandon the criminal lifestyle. Maya returns to her hometown and to her native American roots. Unfortunately, the past is catching up with her there, which forces her to fight back.
Echo is set to debut on Disney + next year.
